Maps

When we bought our house it was full of some pretty amazing stuff. And some stuff that was a little weird- like old cactus plants, baskets from Mexico and a pump organ. One of the coolest things was old maps. The one below was hanging on the living room wall tacked up with pins. It shows the Long Beach peninsula as “North Beach”, the original name. The maps is from 1969. We also have an old folder full of National Geographic maps from 1930 & 40s.

We decided to build a frame for it because it is large (35 x 45 inches) and hang it in the newly remodeled bathroom. Perfect for our salvage motto – plus it looks cool!
