Collections

I grew up in a family of collectors. Everyone had their own collection that spurned them on to garage sales, flea markets and antique shows. My earliest collection was of Majolica, a colorful pottery from the Victorian era. It is funny how over the years the pieces in my collection have fit into different decor or been housed away in a closet to reappear later like a long lost friend. Collections are powerful. They motivate, educate and inspire. Why not start collecting something rather than buying new stuff at the store? It’s cheaper and much more meaningful. Not to mention better quality!
