The Real Salvage by the Sea

On our last beach walk I found a glass bottle in the high tide mark. I’ve been pretty lucky in beach combing this year- found a Japanese glass float which is very rare. The bottle I found seemed old. Thick glass and writing on bottom indicated It was Japanese and made by “Suntory”. A good scrub later and a Google search showed the bottle was first manufactured in 1937 for Japanese whiskey. How does an 80 year old bottle float up on the beach? That is the mysterious part of the sea that is so intriguing.
